  • Cinema Arabiyya - Founder & Curator

    Cinema Arabiyya is a screening series at Nitehawk Cinema. It is a selection of lesser known, or just lesser shown, films from the Arab world, selected to challenge and excite curious cinephiles, expand their knowledge of international cinema and provide a greater understanding of Arab arts and culture.

  • Arab Film Festival (AFMI)

    The flagship event of the Arab Film and Media Institute, the Arab Film Festival is the longest running independent festival of its kind in North America. Launched in 1996, the festival's mission is to present the best of contemporary films that illuminate the richness of Arab culture through authentic narratives and images, providing insight into the beauty and complexity of the Arab world.

  • Arab Women in the Arts (AFMI)

    Arab Women in the Arts is AFMI’s annual showcase to honor generations of Arab women who have excelled in and revolutionized all forms of artistic expression.

  • Palestinian Voices (AFMI)

    Palestinian Voices was developed in response to the genocide that began in Gaza on October 7, 2023 as a resource to provide insight into the current situation unfolding in Gaza and the people being affected.

  • Arab Love (AFMI)

    Arab Love is AFMI’s recurrent program focused on sharing the stories of the LGBTQ Arab community during Pride Month and through Its sister program, Queer Lens, at the Arab Film Festival.

  • Arab Film Series (AFMI x AANM x ArteEast)

    The Arab Film Series is monthly curated online program of contemporary and classic films, followed by discussions with Arab, Arab American, and diasporic filmmakers, connecting a worldwide community through film, dialogue, and activism. Co-programmed by AFMI with the Arab American National Museum and ArteEast.

  • InFocus: Arab Cinema (AFMI x NFMLA)

    InFocus: Arab Cinema is a yearly partnership between AFMI and NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA). It showcases the best of Arab short films, many selected from our annual Arab Film Festival in Northern California. The event is hosted in Los Angeles, providing an opportunity for the Arab film community to network with industry guests, show their work, participate in filmmakers Q&A and celebrate the best of Arab cinema.

  • Storm Studio - Guest Curator

    I am been proud to collaborate with Storm Studios, now called Storm Books & Candy, in Brooklyn, NY on the curation of multiple short films programs for their exhibitions including Can Water Be Thirsty? and earth • nurture • seed.

  • Visualizations of Revolution - Guest Curator

    A film series founded by Rosa Martinez in Brooklyn, NY. I am honored to have co-programmed a small selection of these screenings with Rosa including screenings of Souha, Surviving Hell, Divine Intervention and Everything is Under Control: The Films of Abounaddara.
