We invite you all on Saturday April 6th for a day of political education and letter writing that draws connections between detention in occupied Palestine and our own carceral system. The freedom of political prisoners is at the forefront of Palestinian liberation, just as the freedom of our incarcerated brothers and sisters in U.S. prisons, jails, and detention centers is central to the liberation of all marginalized people here at home.~
Schedule:
12pm - Screening of Zelda Edmunds’ “Imprisoning A Generation,” which follows four young Palestinians imprisoned under zionist military & political systems
1:30pm - Panel discussion w/ @criticalresistance, @samidoun.nynj, Survived & Punished, and more!
2:30pm - Letter writing to political prisoners
📍 Ridgewood Presbyterian Church: 59-14 70th Ave
Join us as we answer the call for the freedom of ALL prisoners and honor the sacrifices our revolutionary leaders have made. From Rikers to Jenin, freedom is imminent.
