Palestine Through the Women’s Lens

  • Selva 1329 Willoughby Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11237 United States (map)

New York! Save the date: May 22 for “Palestine through the women’s lens” film screening in New York City.

Join Filmistin @selva_nyc from 7:00-10:00 pm for an enlightening event, spotlighting the perspectives of Palestinian women artists. Against the backdrop of harsh repression on Palestinian political expression worldwide, we aim to delve deeper into the ongoing massacre in Gaza, situated within the broader context of land seizure across Palestine since the Nakba. Through the powerful medium of films, we’ll explore the theme of ‘the land’. Experience the narratives of Palestinians in the occupied lands, Gaza, the diaspora, and the West Bank, as we examine themes of borders, longing for home, and resistance against occupation.

This screening not only showcases remarkable visual storytelling but also extends to support to art director Sa'eed Albaytar and his family, currently displaced in Gaza.
All proceeds from FILIMISTIN events will go to support his fundraising campaign.
